Yay! We're booked! Now what? You may have a few questions about how the session will go. That's ok! This page answers frequently asked questions from my clients.
What should we wear?
A.The best advice I can give my clients on what to wear is to wear what you feel comfortable in! Find clothes that reflect your personal style. Keep it simple and don't overthink it! You'll look fabulous no matter what you wear, I promise.
For families: I tell my family clients to wear coordinating outfits and to stay away from "matching" outfits. Matching outfits tend to blend together quite a bit and I like to make sure every person in your family can be seen. For ideas for family outfits check out my Pinterest Board.
Individual Portraits and Seniors: PROP IT UP! Hats, jackets, boas, or sequined jackets- bring whatever reflects YOU. This session is about you, let's glow.
**A note on transition lenses. Since most of my sessions occur outside, transition lenses tend to take on a darker hue. I can lighten lenses, but depending on how dark they become it has limitations. I highly suggest wearing a pair of glasses that do not have transition lenses or a fake pair.
With all of that being said, often times sessions are held in outdoor park locations. Please be conscious of that when choosing your outfits.
Someone in my family doesn't like their picture taken, what can we do?
A.My promise to you is to make your session as comfortable for everyone as possible.
Getting your pictures taken can feel awkward for even the most outgoing people. We will work together to make sure everyone in your party is at east and enjoying the shoot.
If you have a member of your family who is special needs or different abled I'd love to know how to have them enjoy our time together. Drop me a note on their favorite and most comfortable ways to be approached, their favorite things, or maybe even their favorite music to break the ice.
What if the weather is bad or something happens out of our control?
A.Life happens, and so does Cleveland weather.
If the weather looks awful for the entire day, I may call to reschedule the day before, but because Cleveland Weather is so unpredictable, some days I may play it by ear and will give you at least 2-hour notice before we try to reschedule.
Illness is also out of our control. I want to make sure everyone in your family is looking their best so just give me a call and we can always reschedule if you have an illness in the family.
We will work together to find a date to reschedule. Your deposit will still go towards the rescheduled date but is non-refundable.
How do we pay our balance?
A.Cash or check is the easiest way to go.
I also accept PayPal payments and Venmo!
What does professionally edited photos mean?
A.After your session, I will provide you with a proofing gallery. From there, you can choose the top images included in your package.
I will hand-edit your top images in my personal artistic style. This includes, but is not limited to, temporary blemish removal, minimal skin smoothing, hair flyaways, sweater fuzz, removal of any unsightly objects in the photo.
I take pride in presenting images that are as unique as you. You are beautiful just the way you are- no extreme photoshopping required.
When do we get our photos?
A.I try to get your proofing gallery to you within 24-48 hours. After you have selected your favorite images, you will receive your final gallery within 1-2 weeks.
